Overview
The Transport Location Form in the VSD Fleet Management System is designed to manage locations related to transport operations, including specific sites or places where transport activities occur. This form allows users to create and organize location data, linking them to countries for better management and reporting within the fleet management system.
Accessing the Form
Log in to the VSD Fleet Management System.
Navigate to the Transport Location section under the VSD Fleet MS module.
Click on New to create a new location or select an existing one to view or edit.
Form Layout
The Transport Location Form is simple, consisting of two main fields: Location and Country. These fields allow users to identify locations where transport activities occur and link them to their respective countries.
Fields Overview
1. Location (Required, Unique)
Description: Enter the name of the location where the transport activities take place. This could be a city, port, warehouse, or any identifiable location.
Usage: This field is mandatory and must be unique. No two locations can have the same name within the system. Example: "New York Port", "Berlin Warehouse"
2. Country (Required)
Description: Select the country where the location is situated. This field links to the Country DocType, allowing you to choose from the existing countries in the system.
Usage: This field is mandatory, ensuring that every location is associated with a country. Example: "United States", "Germany"
How to Use the Transport Location Form
Creating a New Transport Location
Click on New: Start by clicking the New button on the Transport Location list view page.
Enter Location: In the Location field, input the name of the location. Ensure it is unique and descriptive enough to identify the place easily.
Select Country: In the Country field, choose the country associated with the location from the list of available countries.
Save: Once both fields are filled in, click Save to store the new location in the system.
